Beginner's Course FAQ
Our special beginner's Course is a great way to get started in Kokikai Aikido.
We are dedicated to helping you learn Aikido and to benefit from it!
We work in small classes with each individual to develop their own strenghts.
At the end of the beginner's course, you will have accomplished the following:

- How to develop your posture and balance
- How to relax even when being attacked
- Basic ki development exercises
- Learning to avoid attack
- Basic Japanese terminology
- several techniques to use against attacks such as punch, grab and strikes
- An understanding of how Aikido works and what you have to look forward to as an Aikido Kokikai student.
- Certificate of accomplishment signed by your instructors
and so much more!

Why not sign up today?
Do I need to attend all of the classes?
- We offer classes Monday-Thursday.
- The Beginners and Basics class is recommended but not mandatory for students new to Aikido. It's a great way to meet others who are new also! Check our schedule to find out when the class will be held.
- You may attend as many as you like eachweek. At least one class per week is recommended.
- Each class is specially geared towards the needs of beginners, but each class is different.
- Although each class is different, you will always learn things that will help you develop your skills in Kokikai Aikido.
Do I need to pre-register?
- Pre-registation is always apreciated so we can start to plan for your attendance in the class.
- We do have to limit space in the class so that all beginners get the special attention they deserve!
- Once you pay, we can order a gi (uniform included in the cost of your course) for you so it will be ready on the first day of class.
- Pre-registration is not required, just call or e-mail us to confirm we have space to accomodate you.
